Richard "Dick" Kruse was born 9/20/24 in Cincinnati OH, resident of Emerald Lakes and most recently Llanfair Retirement Community. Son of the late John and Margarethe Kruse. Dick was a 1942 graduate from Roger Bacon High School and he proudly enlisted in the Army (1943- 1945) during WWII attaining the rank of Sergeant of the 419th Engineers. Dick served in the Battle of the Bulge and throughout Europe before retiring to Cincinnati. He retired in 1986 from H.H. Meyer/Morrell Meats. He was an avid golfer, active with 419th Engineers group and a member of St Clair Church, College Hill. Preceded in death by his wives, LaVerne Forbes Kruse (1922-1981) and Carol Klosterman Kruse (1933-2008). Survived by his: son-Richard John " Rick" Kruse; grandchildren-Richard Joseph Kruse and Anne Louise (Russell Eckert) Kruse; step children-Kathleen (Dan) Ellis, Pamela (Jim) Kelly; step grandchildren-Madeline, Devin, Cole and Elena. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon Wednesday, October 26th St. Clare Church, College Hill. Visitation 10:45am until 11:45am Wednesday at the church. Military honors and interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, OH. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Saint Clare Church, 1443 Cedar Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45224 or the charity of you choice.
